Stuff the Lobster Instead of the Bird
California and Arizona, Oct. 24, 2011
Bluewater Grill Seafood Restaurants make the spirits bright with an only-in-the-West offering and advice to seafood fans in California and Arizona looking for something unique this holiday season: stuff the lobster and not the bird.
Getting an early start on the season, Bluewater Grill in Newport Beach, Tustin and Redondo Beach, California, and in Phoenix, Arizona, will serve a signature sustainable version of Holiday Baked Stuffed Maine Lobster, the classic New England holiday family meal that originated in Boston-area seafood restaurants.
The festivities kick-off with a Nov. 8 tasting event at all four locations, featuring a whole Maine lobster stuffed with a special shrimp and buttery panko-crumb stuffing. Served with choice of New England or Manhattan Clam Chowder, two sides, unlimited fresh sourdough bread, a Bluewater Grill bib for just $29.95.
Paired with the feast will be two hand-picked Sauvignon Blanc selections, Oyster Bay from New Zealand and Guenoc from California.
The Bluewater Grill monthly tasting events, hosted every second Tuesday, feature seasonal seafood specialty items paired with hand-selected wines or specialty draught beers. The events have become a popular monthly diversion for local seafood aficionados and Bluewater Grill’s large fan base.
Holiday revelers unable to attend the special Nov.8 celebrations can order the Holiday Baked Stuffed Main Lobster off the menu throughout November and December, and pair it with wines on the bar menu.
“In keeping with Bluewater Grill’s mission to practice 100% sustainable purchasing, a promotion involving Maine lobster is a natural,” explained Bluewater Grill co-founder Jimmy Ulcickas. “The Maine lobster industry is the model of a well-managed fishery--ensuring that both the lobster resource and the environment are protected for generations to come. Maine harvesters have been environmentally conscious and ‘eco-friendly’ since long before it became fashionable. They harvest their lobsters the same careful way they have for over 125 years--by hand, one trap at a time--thus protecting the quality of their product and the marine environment.”
